It is situated 100 yards from the beach and has an excellent view of the sea from the upstairs lounge and balcony.

The shops, hospital, restaurants, public houses and Summer Theatre are all within easy walking distance and the Pier is only 100 yards away.

Southwold is an attractive holiday resort with a mainly sandy beach. It is noted for its Brewery and also its harbour where locally caught fish can be purchased. Leisure activities include sailing, fishing, golf and bowls; and there are picturesque coastal walks to Cove Hithe, Walberswick and Dunwich. Within easy reach by car are the R.S.P.B.Sanctuary at Minsmere (6 miles); Framlingham Castle (20 miles); the market town of Beccles (8 miles) and Oulton Broad (12 miles).
